Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Director of Quality Management, Infection Prevention, and Medical Staff Services, you will manage quality and performance improvement programs for the facility. You will educate and develop staff on performance improvement, ensure implementation and completeness of the Infection Control Program, and monitor medical staff operations to verify appropriateness and completeness of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. 

  • You will develop quality and process improvement plans and policies, perform evaluations, analyze reports, and ensure compliance with requirements for quality, performance, and patient safety
  • You will be a representative to selected quality committees and initiatives, and will provide support to process improvement and peer review committees
  • You will manage and guide physician peer review activities with upper management
  • You will manage patient safety initiatives, educate staff on quality and patient safety, and promote overall compliance and improvement
  • You will represent the facility as a key member in the coordination of The Joint Commission Core Measures and Content Management Systems Quality initiatives
  • You will prepare and monitor the department budgets 
  • You will oversee the implementation of the infection prevention, detection, surveillance, and improvement system, and build a system-wide infection prevention culture 
What qualifications you will need:
  • 5 years of experience in strategic planning, core measures, peer review, infection prevention, performance improvement, and implementing quality initiatives
  • Understanding of healthcare environment, strong project management skills, knowledge of quality principles, theories, and tools
  • Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
  • Registered Nurse
  • Associate Degree
  • Bachelors Degree
