Job Summary and Qualifications

The Business Analyst II is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of Financial Reports and HCAPS Medical Staff Development Plans for client hospitals and any analyses relating to the financial package and statements supporting said Plan. Other duties include maintenance and development of financial reporting applications and solutions, making recommendations and formulating conclusions, writing ad-hoc queries, assisting with month-end and budget reporting processes, performing research and other duties and assigned.


  • Ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of work papers and analyses relating to Medical Staff Development Plans and the financial statements/operations of the company. 
  • Determining and devising data survey collection and interpretation methods, analytical methodologies and research techniques. 
  • Performing monthly financial reporting and budgeting tasks set forth in goals and objectives or as assigned. 
  • Ensuring correct data interpretation, physician profiling, market assessment, utilization trending. 
  • Preparing supply and demand analysis via an array of methodologies. 
  • Managing multiple on-going projects. 
  • Interfacing with various departments regarding financial plans, reports and issues. 
  • Preparing on-demand financial analyses including analysis of costs by account, department, FTE studies, overtime studies, contract labor, etc.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Information Systems or related field is required. 
  • Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years previous related experience, as well as, expert level skills in Microsoft Excel and Access. 
  • In addition, excellent written, oral and graphic presentation skills required, as well as, knowledge of query tools such as Cognos, Clear Access and Scan US.
