What You'll Do:
  • develop, modify, apply and maintain NDT standards and protocol for launch vehicles.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards.
  • Coordinate supplier requirements, maintaining supplier interfaces, interfacing with internal and external customers to facilitate acceptance of supplier products; devising and implementing methods and procedures for NDT
  • Evaluate the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment; designing or specifying inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducting quality as participating in continuous improvement efforts
  • Perform analysis to determine the corrective actions for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Participate in control and disposition of nonconforming products, causal analysis & corrective action, correction action effectiveness/reliability, design for manufacturability and inspection planning.
  • Ensure that products, services and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures, and government regulations.
What You'll Need:
  • Candidate must have a minimum of 4 years of NDT experience
  • Certified to Level III (per NAS 410) in RT - Radiology (Digital) and UT - Ultrasonic (Phased Array)
  • Previous experience in an aerospace environment working on metallic welded structures, composite materials and additive manufacturing
  • Ability to use associated test measurement and diagnostic equipment as necessary in performance of duties
  • Capable of developing, qualifying, and approving procedures; establishing and approving techniques
  • Capable of interpreting codes, standards, specifications, and procedures; and designating the particular NDT methods, techniques and procedures to be used
  • Previous experience developing capability and probability of detection studies related to NDI Testing
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree combined with 9 + years of relevant work experience; advanced degrees are typically preferred at this level.
