Requisition Number: S_210266 Department: Office of Diversity and Inclusion-10251 Description of Work: The Program Coordinator, reporting to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Strategic Initiatives, assists with programs and initiatives to promote diversity, inclusion, and equity across the university and create community and a sense of belonging among campus constituencies. The Program Coordinator is responsible for diversity programming within the office, including managing annual events, developing initiatives, securing guest speakers, overseeing the planning and logistic details, and marketing for Office of Diversity and Inclusion ( ODI ) events. The Program Coordinator will also support ODI internal and external communications. The Program Coordinator also assists with the facilitation of campus diversity training sessions, identifies strategic partnerships and alliances, and represents the office on campus committees. The PC assists in raising the university’s profile of equality and diversity both internally and externally, as needed. Must also have the ability to work evenings and some weekends, as needed. See: Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies, Anthropology, Educational Administration, or related fields. One (1) year administrative or program coordination experience preferably involving diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, oral communication, and analytic skills. Event management and execution experience will be required. Demonstrated accuracy in handling detailed work and excellent follow-through required. Ability to work under pressure on concurrent projects with frequent interruptions and minimal supervision. Ability to develop relationships with the broader University community. Ability to work collaboratively, problem-solve, and manage sensitive information. Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Educational Administration or a related field. Two (2) or more years of experience, specifically in restorative practices, Diversity, equity, and inclusion ( DEI ) programs and trainings preferred. Two (2) or more years of professional experience with diversity, multi-culturalism, working with intersectionality of identities, and social justice. Experience developing, implementing and assessing DEI programs, presentations, and service areas particularly with programming, services, and/or advocacy.
