Pharmacy Technician I


Due to the current COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, this position will require you to work remotely from your home with the flexibility to return to a regular, in-office work environment.  As we continue to monitor guidance from CDC and state officials there may be times you would need to report to the office on a monthly or quarterly basis for team meetings or engagement activities. 


As a Pharmacy Technician I you will be responsible for the interpretation and data entry of basic prescriptions, prior authorization processing, and troubleshooting adjudication issues. Here’s what a typical day may look like:

  • You be responsible for effectively creating and submitting all prior authorization requests from members, authorized representative, and physicians. Makes daily outreach to relevant parties to advise of all prior authorization outcomes.
  • You will respond to inquiries from members, pharmacies and providers regarding the beneficiary’s Medicare prescription drug benefit. 
  • You will makes daily outreach to physician office requesting additional information/supporting statement required for pending prior authorizations.
  • You will communicate effectively with other professional and support staff in order to achieve positive customer outcomes.
  • You will promote and contributes to a positive, problem-solving environment.

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited Institution.
  • Minimum 1 years of pharmacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
  • Current FL State non-restricted Pharmacy technician license required. 
  • If certification is not required according to state of practice, must obtain State Pharmacy Tech certification within 1 year. 
  • State Tech-in-Training certificate may be required in applicable state(s). 
  • Requires bilingual in Spanish
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be patient in dealing with an elderly population and sympathetic to hearing or vision deficiencies.
  • Must be able to receive constant constructive feedback. 
  • Must be open to work Monday – Fridays between the hours of 8am-6pm.
