The director is responsible for the overall effective operation of his/her department(s) to ensure organization goals and objectives are achieved.

Participates in providing patient specific care standards as directed, and follows service excellence standards to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction.

 

  • You will administer and analyze goals and objectives for work unit(s).  Meet organizational goals. Take a proactive view and anticipate change and need for action.
  • You will prepare departmental budget; projecting reasonable activity levels and expenses required to achieve approved net margin for work unit(s).  Operate work unit(s) within approved budget.
  • You will maintain compliance with current regulation/requirements of outside regulatory/accrediting agencies and assures that new requirements are identified on a timely basis and coordinates hospital compliance.
  • You will demonstrate understanding of Process Improvement. Promote the systematic assessment and improvement of performance. Continuously assess and improve the performance of care and services provided by using information available from customers (i.e. patients, staff, physicians, and employees), to improve outcomes.
  • You will actively participate in Hospital and Departmental committees and group meetings with a focus on providing input regarding improving the quality of patient care services in the facility.
  • You will conduct monthly department meetings to keep staff informed.  Insure that there is a complete flow of information through the department.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required:        Bachelor’s Degree in area of related field; Minimum of 3 years experience in healthcare management

Preferred:         Master’s Degree

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES:

Preferred:        Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM)
