This job candidate is a strong advocate of cloud technology and engineering support necessary to drive the organization's next-generation technologies. The incumbent works to adopt, expand, maintain, and optimize cloud usage across the organization through engineering support of cloud technologies. The incumbent owns support and engineering of cloud solutions and must stay current with new cloud offerings to continue to produce expected corporate results.


+ Implement and support cloud-based technical solutions that enable business objectives.

+ Works to optimize cloud spend & resource efficiency across cloud tools and applications within organization.

+ Proposes ideas, designs, and solutions to lead engineers, architects and management.

+ Define procedures and create scripts to deploy solutions into cloud environments.

+ Performs research and analysis required for project proposals, system modifications, and new solutions.

+ Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, performance, capacity and overall system health.

+ Define and measure PKI data to ensure that cloud services meet or exceed operational SLA’s and SLO’s

+ Incident resolution, problem management, configuration and change management as it pertains to cloud resources and services supported by the operations team

+ Liaison with cloud vendors regarding technology and tools, problems, fixes, and required enhancements

+ Other duties as assigned or requested.



+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Information Systems


+ 6 years of related and progressive experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree


+ None



+ 3 years with at least two modern scripting or orchestration languages (ex. JavaScript, PowerShell, **Terraform** ).

+ 3 years of hands-on responsibility producing scripts that are fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainable within a version controlled build and deploy pipeline.

+ 3 year familiarity with standard IT security practices such as identity and access management, data protection, encryption, certificate and key management.

+ 3 year proficiency in deploying scalable; highly available systems

+ 3 year knowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies. For example; Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), OpenShift, AKS


+ 1 year with Serverless computing.

+ 1 year with at least one of the following Cloud Service Providers: Google Cloud Platform, Azure or Amazon Web Services



+ None

**Preferred** (Any of the following)

+ GCP Professional Cloud Engineer/Architect

+ AWS Solutions Engineer/Architect

+ Microsoft Azure Engineer/Architect​

+ HashiCorp Terraform Associate

+ Certified Kubernetes Administrator


+ Demonstrates ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment

+ Ability to speak and write English fluently

+ Interest and ability to learn other scripting languages, cloud tools and technology as needed

+ Experience and willingness to mentor junior engineers and help develop their skills

+ Ability to present to leadership and articulate complex technical scenarios
