As a Senior Project Manager II you will work independently to plan, monitor, and manage multiple medium to large projects of high complexity across multiple teams, departments and locations. You will be the single point of accountability and work with multiple stakeholders to ensure projects meet their stated objectives. In this role you may also manage other Project Manager, Coordinators, or Specialists. Proactive communication and taking ownership of risk management is essential to success in this position.

In this role you will:

 

  • Author and facilitate strategic documents such as Project Charters, Education and Communication plans, detailed project plans, and present project updates to business owners
  • Organize project activities into manageable work efforts for team members and determine an effective approach to completing the work, as outlined in the project plan
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, cross-project dependencies, and report on project status within published schedule
  • Identify, manage and monitor completion of deliverables throughout project lifecycle
  • Provide management of staff to assure quality of work and integration of team members’ work
  • Mentor staff in applying project management controls
  • Facilitate decision-making that is required for progress on the project
  • Author and facilitate project implementation documentation such as implementation toolkits and migration schedules
  • Lead project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, trouble shooting and people management
  • Ensure project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule, and cost
  • Solve technical and non-technical problems throughout the life of the project

 

Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management/Administration, or other comparable Bachelor’s Degree (may be substituted with relevant experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with managing multiple projects to successful completion, preferably in healthcare financial services, clinical operations, supply chain, or information systems-oriented environments
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience preferred, preferably in the healthcare industry
  • HCA/Parallon-based operations or systems experience a plus
  • Financial services, hospital operations, supply chain, or IT experience a plus
  • PMP and/or LEAN certifications preferred, but not required
