Job Summary:

Tool Rental Operations: Represents the organization to promote, rent and sell Lowes Tool Rental products and services to eligible customers. Responsibilities include renting tools, equipment and accessories; identifying potential customers; managing and building existing customer relationships; and monitoring customer and competitor activity and industry trends.

The primary purpose of this role is to drive the achievement of operational and customer service goals for all assigned districts within their area. Additionally, they will lead responsibility of the setup and rollout of each new Tool Rental location in their assigned districts through management task completion. They must build strong partnership and influence with Tool Rental Department Supervisors, Store and Field Leadership to ensure the flawless execution of sales, service and promotional programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for creating business performance action plans related to sales, profit, expenses, supplier execution, capacity and quality to ensure meeting SSC goals and targets

• Responsible for maintaining relationships and alignment with the field leadership team on the success of the Tool Rental program by collecting feedback, input, recommendations and concerns as it relates to the business performance action plans.

• Utilizes real time reporting and metrics used in tracking sales, equipment maintenance, customer service in order to manage overall Tool Rental performance.

• Develop and facilitate training workshops for store associates in the District based on expertise and knowledge of the Tool Rental experience. In partnership with Store Management, coaches and trains Tool Rental Department Supervisors on the Tool Rental Program

• Responsible for leading Change Management for new programs deployed to field / stores, to ensure stores can understand and execute the Tool Rental strategy and their role in driving optimal Tool Rental experiences across their district.

• Anticipates and prepares for the weekly regional store walks keeping the support teams focused on the rollout and day to day operation of the rental centers to provide visibility to field leadership on overall Tool Rental performance.

• Remains knowledgeable regarding industry standards and SSC programs to recommend priorities, building programs, and determining field activities

• In partnership with the district and store support teams, and SSC to successfully lead the execution of the rollout of the rental program at the district level by driving engagement and excitement on upcoming new rental rollout timelines, and the performance of operating rental centers.

• Ensure stores are managing existing customer relationships; and monitoring customer and competitor activity and industry trends and provides feedback to Tool Rental Strategy and Operations teams.

• Provides Rental fleet oversight within the division – communicating fleet needs, fleet issues, rental rates and fees, and other support needs to the SSC rental fleet support team.

• Partners with the district and store teams on a resolution of escalated Customer and Supplier issues when they arise.

Required Education/Experience:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Operations, or related field

+ Certification, Diploma, or associate degree in small engine repair, electronic equipment technology or electrical engineering technology

+ 6 years of related Industry Experience (Rental, Installation, Repair or US Home Improvement)

+ Demonstrated ability to convert Financial or Operational data into actionable business steps (Business Cases) to improve performance in key Service metrics

+ Strong mechanical and technical aptitude

+ Problem solving skills and close attention to detail

+ Leadership experience with or without direct report responsibility

+ Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office

+ Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation

+ Ability to communicate remotely and provide support through multiple channels
