We have an opportunity for 4 x Field Service Engineers to join our team serving one of our highest profile clients in Cambridge. We are looking for someone to carry out routine maintenance, commissioning, fault finding along with effective repair, and first line escalation to all supported 1st Party EBI/Controls and Honeywell PLC product. We are also seeking on of these engineers to specialize in fire systems/security controls.

The start date for this position for the ideal candidate will be between September and November.

Field Service Engineer responsibilities

·         Maintenance testing, start up technical support of installed equipment

·         Service and maintenance of Any 3rd party equipment

·         Perform PPM Maintenance, re-active & commissioning works on systems. The sale of small works & equipment is also covered in the engineers remit

·         Perform and provide counsel on expert emergency, maintenance, testing, and start-up

·         Technical support across any type of electrical or mechanical equipment, systems and subsystems from simple to moderately complex in nature. Performs or provides counsel on diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems (both hardware and software.

·         Service and maintenance of Honeywell and third party equipment (as per trade expertise).

·         Day to day servicing, calibrations and maintenance; including diagnoses and repairs faults in The Honeywell BMS system and associated alarm equipment.


·         You will have an apprenticeship in the Electrical/Electronic Engineering Industry or equivalent or City & Guilds, BTEC, ONC/HNC qualification in an Electrical/Electronic discipline.

·         Working knowledge of either working directly with Honeywell BMS Products or Honeywell PLC’s in the field or fire systems

·         The ability to communicate (orally and written) effectively with internal and external customers at all levels.
