**Description:** Lockheed Martin is looking for thought leaders in Models Based System Engineering \(MBSE\) and Systems Architecture expertise to support the System of Systems Analysis, Training and Simulation Operations team\. As a member of the System of Systems Analysis, Training and Simulation organization, the candidate will lead teams and perform on teams that execute modeling and analysis of military systems\. The efforts could range from program/contract work to studies in support of operational concepts \(CONOPS\), system design, payloads, weapons and tactics, and force size/mix on survivability and mission effectiveness\. This Lead will also deliver MBSE guidance across the organization to help facilitate modeling and simulations to support requirements definition, concept of operations evaluation, operational and cost efficiency studies, military utility assessment and program performance\. Responsibilities will include architecting and utilizing MBSE tools to build the required system designs for efforts \(OV\-1, OV\-5, Behavior Diagrams, Use Cases, etc\.\), while guiding a team to assist with those projects\.

The MBSE Lead will support across the business area through MBSE execution and guidance to inform strategic decisions, investment plans, and customer engagements\. This work may support constructive digital simulations, virtual reconstructive events, or wargaming activity\. In doing so, the selected candidate will work without appreciable direction, exercising considerable latitude in determining the structure of the MBSE tools to support program and study objectives\. This senior systems architect will provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate to advanced scope and complexity, be up to date on the latest developments, take initiative to gather and disseminate information and data and lead projects or analysis activities involving MBSE and system architecture\. The incumbent will liaison with senior internal and external stakeholders and represent the organization as a primary contact for programs, captures, and technology investment planning\.

**Basic Qualifications:**

\- Bachelor degree from an accredited college in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Management Science, Operations Research or related field

\- Minimum six \(6\) years of experience with Models Based Systems Engineering tools \(Cameo, SysML, Rhapsody, etc\)\.

\- Knowledge of military operations, tactics, and organization\.

\- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

**Desired Skills:**

\- Expertise in Cameo or Rhapsody models based systems engineering tools\.

\- Expertise in computer\-based analytical tools and office applications\.

\- Advanced Degree in Systems Engineering or related field

\- Modeling and Simulation experience \(preference for experience with Navy, Army, Air Force standard analysis and modeling tools\)\.

\- Knowledge of major combat simulations and models, analytical methods, sensors and weapon systems\.

\- Knowledge/experience analyzing cross\-domain operational effects\.

\- Knowledge/experience performing target specific threat assessment to maximize mission capabilities and effectiveness\.

\- Knowledge/experience maintaining and developing SME\-level knowledge on threat system capabilities as it pertains to mission effectiveness\.

\- Experience successfully participating in, and leading teams\.
