Since 1979 Raulerson Hospital has been providing the rural community of Okeechobee with quality healthcare and a personal touch. As the sole hospital provider in Okeechobee County, Raulerson Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services. Raulerson is licensed by Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) as a Primary Stroke Center and provides comprehensive multi-modality diagnostic services accredited by the American College of Radiology. Raulerson’s surgical services include minimally invasive procedures, which can result in shorter hospital stays and a faster recovery.

Job Description:

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Cardiopulmonary oversees the efficient operation of the Respiratory/Cardiology, Neurodiagnostic, and Vascular Imaging Services. He or she is responsible for planning, organizing and directing therapeutic and diagnostic procedures performed on patients (acute and chronic). The Director regularly reviews and revises, as necessary, standards and ensures diagnostic and therapeutic programs comply with all Hospital and regulatory agency standards and procedures.  He/She coordinates provision of these services with other medial functions and services as technical resources of Department Personnel.

Qualifications

  • Current Florida Respiratory Therapy License
  • Associate’s Degree required
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS Certifications
  • 1-3 years of leadership experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Respiratory Care in an acute care setting
  • Respiratory Therapy experience on neonate through geriatric patient populations
  • Ability to use ABG machine, ventilators, IPPB, CPAP/BIPAP machines
  • Ability to perform arterial puncture for ABG analysis
