JOB SUMMARY
At Houston Methodist, the ERP Sr Application Analyst is responsible assuring the efficient, effective and consistent delivery of high quality services. The ERP Senior Application Analyst is responsible for advancing the functionality and operational efficiency of PeopleSoft HCM/FMS application. This entails analyzing and developing PeopleSoft HCM/FMS modules. Serves as a liaison between vendor(s) and internal teams. The primary focus of this position is to provide deep technical expertise in PeopleSoft HCM/FMS application development, maintenance and production support. Serves as a liaison to vendors. The incumbent defines, developes, tests, analyzes and maintains PeopleSoft HCM/FMS applications and future modules. The ERP Senior Application Analyst ensures the services that he/she provides contribute to the successful accomplishment department goals and objectives. Serves as mentor and role model to more junior staff.

  1. Supports large, complex applications with technical experience in systems analysis, design, building, testing, and implementation. (EF)
  2. Partners with IT team members, business partners and vendors to translate business requirements into viable solutions, identifies potential benefits, and re-engineers workflow/processes to achieve anticipated benefits; coordinates discovery, planning, status updates. (EF)
  3. Participates in managing and resolving major system outages, disaster management and change control. (EF)


QUALITY/SAFETY - 25 %

  1. Implements high quality, scalable and extendable solutions using PeopleSoft and other applications while adhering to established best practices.
  2. Assists Technical Lead in providing oversight for work assigned to team members and evaluates effectiveness of their work product and makes recommendations for process system performance improvements. (EF)
  3. Proactively communicates with vendors to ensure secure, accurate, timely and most appropriate product release. (EF)


FINANCE - 10 %

  1. Identifies solutions to optimize performance of existing systems and gains customer consensus on instituting changes; institutes changes when approved; supports and evaluates change management efforts on assigned solutions. (EF)
  2. Coordinates and provides problem resolution, technical analyses, costs and resource estimates, work plans, workflow documentation, and progress reports on assigned projects.(EF)


GROWTH/INNOVATION - 15 %

  1. Ensures consistency of changes in process, tools, and overall practice are developed, with a focus on continued integration, innovation and overall system benefit. (EF)
  2. Provides innovative support for custom Information Technology needs throughout organization. (EF)
  3. Proactively manages own professional development. Completes Individual Development Plan. (EF)
  4. Provides inservice education to team members on industry trends, best practices and production support. (EF)

Qualifications:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field


EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Five years of relevant and progressive professional experience, of which three years must be with multiple PeopleSoft development tools including Application Engine, Integration Broker, PeopleCode, SQRs, Component Interface, Workflow and Process Scheduler
  • Experience with current PeopleTools.
  • Experience with SQL, Oracle Database, Integration Broker, XML Publisher.
  • Expertise and experience with complex technical solutions
  • Experience and solid understanding of software development lifecycle

  • Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job, especially with regard to activities impacting patient or employee safety or security
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles
  • Experience with MS Office Suite.
