Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a global Logistics Quality Team with overall responsibility for logistics quality for all business sectors and a primary emphasis on defect-free shipments and warehousing quality 
  • Support Applied Materials business entities by developing, implementing and maintaining logistics quality processes that comply with US and foreign tax and trade regulations, support Applied supply chain sustainability initiatives and drive improved customer loyalty. 
  • Determination of quality requirements throughout the logistics supply chain including those requirements applicable to third party logistics providers.
  • Identify opportunities for the continuous quality improvement of inbound and outbound material movements; benchmark and implement industry best known methods
  • Ensure compliance and control to applicable Quality Standards
  • Continued refinement of leading and lagging key process effectiveness and efficiency indicators
  • Leads multifunctional teams comprised of internal, external, and/or matrixed headcount to complete projects/programs.  

Functional Knowledge

  • Regarded as a logistics/logistics quality expert; demonstrated success in leading global logistics/logistics quality teams
  • Background in industrial engineering, operations research a plus

  • Anticipates business related issues; recognizes strategic quality improvement opportunities 
  • Applies broad industry and commercial awareness to drive financial and operational quality performance across business sector, department and sub-functions

The ideal candidate has extensive logistics operations experience and has lead logistics quality engineering teams. The right candidate will be responsible for formulating a logistics quality strategy tailored to the unique requirements of our semiconductor, flat-panel display and Applied Global Services businesses. Having experience in leading geographically-dispersed teams will aid you in the execution of logistics business objectives that contribute significantly to protecting our customers and the Applied Materials brand.
