Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will be part of the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program (Minuteman III ICBM replacement) development contract. Learn more about the GBSD program here.
Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Space System team supporting the Air Force's Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This will include development, production and deployment of Launch Equipment hardware and systems for each weapon system facility. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic people-focused environment where he/she will interact with users, customers and other engineers.
What you will get to do:
Provide systems engineering: Requirements, Architecture, Interfaces, Modeling/ Analysis, Verification Support
  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualifications:

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline from an ABET accredited university with 2 years of related technical experience; or a STEM Master's Degree
  • Experience with systems engineering principles and processes
  • Active DoD Secret clearance granted or adjudicated in the last six years
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Experience with requirements development and requirements management
  • Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (CAMEO)
  • Systems Requirements Analysis using DOORS or similar tool
