Key Responsibilities: 

·       Collect, organize, and analyze laser system data to optimize both performance and reliability/availability

·       Predict, track, mitigate laser/beamline failure modes; mitigations include sparing, monitoring, calibrations and servos, design updates

·       Technical focal for laser and beamline system requirements capture, purchase definition, and project management.

·       Manage technical lab space – projects, component inventory, space and equipment organization

·       Laser/beamline maintenance and repair




·       Bachelor’s Degree in optics or related science field

·       Minimum 4 years’ industry experience in a lasers and optics lab 

·       Applicants for employment for this position must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Honeywell. (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status)



·       Advanced Degree in Engineering Technology

·       Strong knowledge of optical and electrical test equipment

·       Strong knowledge of optical fibers

·       Broad understanding of optical principles and practices and intimate knowledge and experience applying this knowledge to projects

·       Experience with Ti:Sapphire, diode, and fiber-based laser systems

·       Experience with Test station GUI and control software development using LabVIEW and / or Python

·       Experience with lasers and optics & cryogenic systems & ultra-high vacuum systems and procedures

·       Optics and mechanical CAD experience (e.g. Zemax, Solidworks)

·       Experience with engineering change documentation; Ability to work from assembly drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, sketches and other written, visual and oral instructions

Non-Incentive Eligible

Salary Range: $106,000 - $132,000
