Information Technology/Operational Technology (IT/OT) Networks Security Architect will be a part of the Special Use Networks (SUN) Center of Excellence (CoE) that is tasked with standardizing and maturing architecture, services, processes, procedures and policies, relating to IT/OT equipment and applications in Engineering Labs and Manufacturing facilities across the enterprise. The primary goal of the SUN CoE is to improve cyber security posture of SUNs across Honeywell.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and Maintaining Special Use Network architecture standards for different types of SUNs (Air-gapped, PCN, Labs, etc.) and various use cases
  • Designing, configuring and implementing Special Use Networks
  • Designing, configuring and implementing IT/OT network cybersecurity compensating controls
  • Decommissioning Special Use Networks
  • Maintaining Special Use Network standards, policies, processes and procedures
  • Interfacing with Enterprise IT Network LAN, WAN and Datacenter teams for design and solution SUNs


  • 8+ years of experience in IT, Lab or Factory Network architecture and support
  • 5+ years of experience in WAN, LAN, TCP/IP, UDP, VPN, B2B, Firewall technologies
  • 5+ years of experience in design and deployment of network security controls in enterprise network or industrial networks, including network zoning, segmentation and isolation designs and implementation
  • 5+ years of experience in network monitoring, network visibility, traffic analysis and performance analysis of LAN/WAN, site labs, factories, file servers, and such network-dependent installations


  • 5+ years of experience in applying Cyber Security event detection and mitigation techniques in an OT environment
  • 2+ years of experience in implementing Software Defined Networking technologies such as ACI, NSX, etc.
  • Expertise in Cisco Networking, Checkpoint firewalls and Tufin Orchestration preferred
  • Exposure to industrial network ports & protocols (such as DNP3, Modbux, Profibus, LonWorks, DALI, BACnet, KNX, EnOcean, etc.)
  • Ability to collaborate with computer engineers, production engineers and OT and IT professionals to develop strategies for effective OT architecture; Experience in IT/OT cooperation or IT/OT alignment in the modern industrial setting
  • Expertise in IIoT
  • Expert level certifications (Network security – e.g., CCIE Security)
