Sr. Software Engineer

As member of the Integration & Test (I&T) Functional Area of the Missile Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) (aka C2BMC NT), the Sr. Software Engineer will participate in software design and peer reviews and develop test specifications and infrastructure. .You will implement manual and automated test and perform analysis of C2BMC implementation in an integrated environment or to test specific capabilities for interfaces or infrastructure in support of operations (e.g., Internal Messaging, control and monitoring, message and display recording and playback, failover processing). Responsibilities also include the coordination of lab resources, test results and verification status with the C2BMC program and customers.

Skills and Experience Required:
  • Agile development, automated testing (e.g . Cucumber and the Gherkin language ), requirement and verification spreadsheet analysis
  • JAVA software or PYTHON scripting development, conducting post-processing and quantitative/qualitative analysis of collected data
  • Development of action plans based upon analysis of data, documenting software deficiency reports, and presenting analysis results and plans of action orally and/or in written format (e.g., slides, annotated slides, test report document)
  • Excellent verbal/written communications skills enabling him/her to work effectively in a small technical team environment, and to accurately represent test perspectives to C2BMC stakeholders
  • Experience in a DevSecOps environment desirable, as is some basic static website creation (i.e. HTML) experience
  • Experience in testing and evaluation of a software-intensive system in a variety of test environments/venues, utilizing Agile development.
  • Use of DoD test methodologies, functional capability related test/analysis planning and implementation, planning and implementation of test data collection and test data analysis and reporting
  • Analysis experience should involve characterizing system, software, or component performance using quantitative methods reporting the characterization to subsequent users and contributing to performance assessment by program system engineers
  • Experience may come from autonomous efforts and/or from participation within test teams

Education Required:
  • 6 years of experience with a Technical Bachelors Degree (Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or Computer Science). Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • IAT Level II (i.e. Sec+) certification

Clearance Requirement:
Active/Current Secret Clearance

In compliance with Colorado___s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $78,900 to $146,000; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate___s work experience, education/training, and key skills.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment
