As a Senior Fleet Support Analyst at Vectrus, you will be a key member of our Navy spectrum management team and will provide operational spectrum management support to the U.S Navy. You will use several spectrum management tools and software suites to both identify and mitigate EMI in various fleet configureations.


Responsibilities

Major Job Activities:

 

• Model various fleet configurations and identify and mitigate EMI issues.
• Review mission frequency plans.
• Perform data research on various vessels and systems.
• Review, alter, and create documentation related to spectrum operations and fleet confiugurations.
• Review frequency assignments.
• Provide support to software engineers and developers.
• Prepare and present spectrum operation related training.
• Provide guidance and recommendations to Navy personnel.

 

 

Material & Equipment Directly Used:

Standard computers and servers.

 

Working Environment:

Work will be performed in an office environment approximately 90% of the time. Local travel is required with the possibility of regional and international travel roughly 5 to 10% of the time.

Physical Activities:

Must be able to work indoors.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Education/Experience/Certifications:

 

• Eight (8) years’ experience in the area of fleet operational support which includes application of support for automated Navy software and tools to identify and mitigate EMI.
• Eight (8) years’ experience in the preparation of technical documents, which include schedules, training plans, and reports relating to operational Navy spectrum management (U.S. and allied).
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and provide oral presentations.
• Active SECRET Security Clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Associates (2) year degree from an accredited College or University in a related STEM field.
