The Software Engineer works with the Research and Development team to deliver on projects for Cotiviti. We develop highly innovative customer facing applications in healthcare analytics to generate performance, improvement opportunities, and value for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • First line support of Backend Integration Applications.
  • Develop Backend Integration Application enhancements.
  • Willingness to develop EmberJS or AngularJS UI based applications that are used for monitoring Interop applications.
  • Change control management. Enter, transcribe, record, store and maintain information in both written and electronic form.
  • Mentor team members in proper software engineering methods and techniques.
  • Review software engineering approach to proposed solutions to ensure adherence to best practice.
  • Completes all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.
  • Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements:

  • BS Computer Science or related field or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years software development experience including experience in Oracle RDBMS, Java and Kubernetes technologies.
  • Deep understanding of OOP design.
  • Basic skills and knowledge of Java based applications utilizing Spring Framework and Hibernate ORM.
  • Ability to navigate the Linux OS by installing, running and monitoring process deamons.
  • Passion to learn and support a Spring Boot based micro-service applications utilizing Oracle Database backend and RabbitMQ Message Queue ecosystem.
  • Good understanding of JavaScript based front-end frameworks like Ember.JS and Angular.JS.
  • Excellent communication skills, due to majority of work being remote and online meetings
  • Knowledge of :
    • Micro Services
    • Spring Framework Open Source Projects
    • REST and SOAP based communication protocols
    • JSON and XML data formats
    • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
    • Proven enterprise experience level with RDBMS and SQL.
