**Description:** For the past 16 years, the Advanced Concepts Laboratory’s \(ACL\) team of world class engineers and applied researchers has been developing advanced cyber capabilities for DoD and IC customers\. Our Information Operations \(IO\) and Computer Network Operations \(CNO\) technologies provide our customers with leap\-ahead capabilities that enable them to attack some of our nation’s most difficult problems\.

We are seeking a passionate individual with IT Systems Engineering and System Administration expertise to construct, maintain and manage multiple independent and isolated networks that support our applied research\. Collectively, these networks are comprised of 75\+ servers and associated network infrastructure, workstations, and application\-specific hardware\.

Customer needs and DoD accreditation requirements are continuously evolving\. Work closely with customers and security personnel to design IT solutions balancing the customer’s security requirements with program requirements\. Our isolated networks contain a variety of technologies that can include: Windows, Linux, macOS, and VMware vSphere/ESXi machines running COTS, FOSS, and homegrown applications\. We rely heavily on the use and application of automation to ensure systems remain compliant and maintainable\. Experience with scripting and technologies will make you a great candidate\!

Additional job responsibilities will include: Day\-to\-day administration of isolated information systems networks; Monitoring for hardware and software failures, troubleshooting, and applying patches and anti\-virus definition updates; Developing techniques to automate system administration and management tasks; Identification, installation, configuration, and integration of hardware and software; Developing solutions that balance system security needs with program execution needs through collaborating with security team and project technical leadership; Maintaining inventory documentation of government furnished equipment incorporated into information systems\.

**Basic Qualifications:**

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related field, with greater than 5 years' experience; or greater than 3 years with a related Master’s degree\.

Prospective team members for this job posting must have skills in:

• In\-depth systems administration experience with Windows and/or Linux \(both are preferred\)

• Administration of Storage systems, Backup systems, Windows Directory Services, Web Services, and Certificate Services\.

• Demonstrated track record of successfully designing/installing new systems or adding significant new functionality to existing systems

• Solid ability to design, configure, and maintain automated Systems Administration automation tools \(e\.g\. CFEngine, Puppet, or Ansible\)

• Strong organization skills to document and maintain system configurations

• Meet DoD Manual 8570 certification requirements for system administration

• Familiarity with system hardening, Splunk, STIGs and SCAP tools\.

• Current Final Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain SCI access\.

Team members are subject to a government security investigation and must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for access to classified information\.

**Desired Skills:**

Experience with or interest in developing skills in the following technical areas:

• Virtualization \- VMware ESXi, vSphere, and Workstation

• Windows/Linux Integration \- Services for Unix/Subsystem for Unix\-based Applications, NFS, and Samba

• Network Administration \- Ethernet switching, TCP/IP subnetting & routing \(static & dynamic\), DHCP, DNS, especially Cisco network equipment

• Scripting/Automation \- Python, bash, Windows PowerShell, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, IPA

• Administering systems accredited under RMF \(NISPOM, JSIG and DAAPM\)
