The Challenge:

It takes more than steel, advanced electronics and engine thrust to make the F\-35 Lightning II, the world's fifth generation fighter, take flight\. It is the Autonomic Logistics Information System \(ALIS\) that gives F\-35 Lightning II operators the ability to plan ahead, to maintain, to plan and sustain its systems over the life of the air vehicle\. ALIS provides the IT backbone and capabilities to support current and future Warfighters across the U\.S\. and allied military services\.

ALIS System Administrators are expected to provide maintenance of ALIS to include performing backups, applying any operating system updates and configuration changes, installing information assurance vulnerability alerts \(IAVAs\), installing and configuring any new hardware/software\. System Administrators are generally the first point of contact for customer inquiries and are responsible for adding/deleting/modifying user account information, resetting passwords, answering technical queries, responsibility for security, responsibility for documenting the configuration of the system, and troubleshooting any reported problems\.

As critical members of the F35 Operations Team all ALIS System Administrators must be able to:

• Obtain and maintain Special Access Program clearance required for program access

• Be willing and able to travel for military deployments/detachments \(ship and/or shore\) for extended periods dependent upon operational needs\.

• Capable of working various shift hours to include weekends to support customer mission

A Day in the Life:

As an Administrator with our JSF ALIS team partnering with our customer you will hold many hats, primarily maintaining smooth operation of multi\-user systems, from tuning system performance, installing system wide software, to allocating mass storage space\. Beyond that you will also make hardware and software purchase recommendations followed by coordinating installation and providing backup recovery\. You will also be frequently relied on as our customer’s point of contact, there to field any questions and/or concerns\.

**Basic Qualifications:**

• Active In Scope DOD Secret Clearance with investigation within 6 years

• Windows System Administration Experience

• Have, or be able to obtain and retain DoD IAT Level II certification \(Security\+, CySA\+, or CCNA\)

**Desired Skills:**

• JBOSS \(WildFly\) Application Server Familiarity/JBOSS Enterprise Application Platform

• User Account Maintenance using Active Directory

• Disaster recovery: backups and restores of physical servers \(Win2012\) and virtual machines

• Hyper\-V Virtual Machine Management Service

• MS Windows Server Operating System

• Maintaining/upgrading system hardware and startup/shutdown of rack components

• Applying operating system updates, anti\-virus/anti\-spyware updates, and patch updates

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Administrator

• Networking Administration or Database Administration experience

• SQL experience

• Military Aviation Maintenance and/or Logistics experience

• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin products and processes, to include the JSF ALIS hardware and software
