STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Maintenance Controllers in Chicago, Illinois!

Job Summary:

As an Aircraft Maintenance Controller, you will support the maintenance, repair, and the return to service of the Gogo Wifi System on board customer aircraft. The individual will ensure that all work performed is accomplished in accordance with all company, airline partner, and FAA regulations. This individual will be knowledgeable in all facets of aircraft maintenance including electrical and avionics equipment installations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with the planning and execution of maintenance, troubleshooting and repair
  • Provide information and maintenance planning information to personnel and airline partner
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply assistance with electrical wiring diagrams with customer related to their aircraft
  • Work collectively with Airborne Maintenance Control Center and Planning
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation for all maintenance work performed on customer aircraft by auditing electronic logs and entries into ERP, M&E, and customers M&E system
  • Ensure that all the required maintenance and preventative maintenance is being performed in accordance with all company, airline and FAA regulations
  • Establish and maintain a working relationship with airline partners, and 3rd party maintenance personnel
  • Oversite of all maintenance hubs and third-party vendors within the airlines operation
  • Assist in diagnostics checks on system installed onboard customer aircraft
  • Complete assigned tasks as required to meet schedule
  • This includes but is not limited to working with our airline partner’s maintenance planners, aircraft routers as well as third party contract vendors
  • Provide training of the connectivity system to maintenance vendors and airline personnel whenever necessary and by request of immediate manager
  • Assist Manager AMCC & Director-ATO in the development of improved maintenance and preventative maintenance of systems
  • Mentors others to ensure they achieve a thorough working knowledge of systems
  • Provide feedback to vendors and airline partners regarding systems and provide solutions needed for areas for Continuous Improvement

Qualifications:

  • 1-year experience in aircraft maintenance including electrical and avionics installations on jet powered transport aircraft
  • Ability to interpret all technical manuals and schematics including engineering orders supporting the installation and repair of the ABS system
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office, and LINUX
  • Ability to understand and speak Spanish, Portuguese or Japanese highly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and speak Spanish, Portuguese or Japanese highly preferred
  • A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • Associates degree in related discipline preferred
  • Strong customer service skills and familiar with cultural etiquette – international experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Ability to travel domestic and Internationally
  • Ability to work holidays, weekends, and all shifts based on airline schedules and available ground times
