**Description:** Our Global Sustainment \(GS\) Team at our

Ventura facility within Lockheed Martin Mission

Systems and Training \(MST\) is seeking an

experienced individual to perform failure

analysis, troubleshoot, identify repairs, and

define test procedures for CCAs, electrical

circuits, cables, power supplies, etc\. Our team

provides MK 41 Logistics Support to the U\.S\.

Navy and FMS nations including test and repair

of VLS depot level repairable \(DLR\) items,

installation & checkout \(INCO\) supply point,

engineering and field service support for all VLS

ships \(USN and allied, all baselines and

configurations\)\. Our current contracts include:

VLS Design Agent Contract for VLS Program

Office and VLS Fleet Supply Support

\(Performance Based Logistics\) for NAVSUP

supporting USN and FMS users\.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible

for performing failure analysis, troubleshooting,

repair disposition and retest of a variety of

electrical and electronic subassemblies utilized in

the VLS of both USN and foreign navies as well

as digital and analog equipment used in the test

and acceptance of these subassemblies\.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead repair technicians in the investigation of

difficult or complex failures leading to correction

of failed components and retest to bring

assemblies into Code A condition

• Review electrical schematics to help isolate and

troubleshoot fixtures

• Support estimates of effort to complete

requested repairs, testing and shipment of VLS

and associated support equipment to US

locations and foreign countries to include this

effort being performed by vendors

Researches, develops, designs, and tests

electrical components, equipment, systems, and

networks\. Designs electrical equipment,

facilities, components, products, and systems for

commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes\.

• Perform failure analysis on various VLS

equipment as directed by the USN customer

• Provide inputs as requested or as deemed

appropriate by the Senior Electrical Engineer that

identify candidate items for repair or test based

on projected obsolescence, regular maintenance

schedules, ship ORDALT schedules and new ship

construction schedules

• Lead emergent or high visibility in\-house repair

and test activities with equipment such as

cables, internal power supplies, circuit card

assemblies & other electronic LRUs,

mechanical/structural assemblies and

components, special test equipment, DITMCO

and Teradyne testing for circuit card assemblies,

functional and environmental \(PET\) testing

including vibration testing

• Assist in the development and implementation

of the GS SCM & Depot technology plans and

common processes and applications\.

This position will require frequent \(daily\)

interface with Customers, Line of Business

Program Managers and other MST functional

support organizations including Tech Ops,

Operations, Contracts, Subcontracts, Business

Development, and Finance\.

**Basic Qualifications:**

To be qualified to interview for this role, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Knowledge of, and experience with VLS MK\-41 system

• Testing, troubleshooting and repair of circuit card assemblies \(CCA\)

• Testing, troubleshooting and repair of digital and analog test equipment

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills


\- Applicants selected must be able to successfully pass a background investigation and drug test\.

\- Additionally, any roles requiring Department of Defense Security Clearances will require US Citizenship\.

**Desired Skills:**

Preferably, you should also have these desired skills:

• MK 41 Vertical Launch System \(VLS\) system and component knowledge

• Knowledge of DITMCO and Teradyne commercial test equipment

• Knowledge of requirements when repairing government weapons systems
