Requisition Number: 2021-105 Business Unit: College of Dentistry Department: COD-Oral Biology 50000741 Reg-Temp: Full-Time Regular Position Summary: This NIH funding-supported position will conduct research projects under the supervision of PI, in research areas of the DNA damage response, cell proliferation and signaling, cancer progression and therapy; perform a variety of laboratory experiments, including molecular, biochemical, and cellular techniques, and mouse tumor models; data organization and manuscript preparation. Responsibilities and functions of this position include but not limited to: Molecular, cellular and biochemical experiments: 1. Carry out research projects under supervision of PI. 2. Implement molecular, cellular, biochemical, and animal tumor model-related experiments independently (with occasional supervision). 3. Compiles and organizes results. 4. Provides support in planning/scheduling experiments according to established protocols. Data collection, manuscript preparation, and laboratory maintenance to include: 1. Collect and organize results. 2. Analyze, summarize, and prepare a draft(s) for publication. Required Qualifications: REQUIRED : Ph.D. (Doctorate), with training and education background in Biomedical Research. Supplemental Qualifications: Preferred experience, but not required: Previous publications in peer-reviewed journals that demonstrate extensive experience in basic biomedical research; experiences in cancer biology, cell signaling, toxicity studies, drug discovery, and animal models. Salary Range: Salary commensurate with experience
