  • RF circuit design, analysis and simulation
  • Antenna design and simulation
  • Contribute on architecture and platform design
  • Testing & debugging hardware
  • Deriving RF hardware design requirements from system-level specifications
  • Generating technical documentation from marketing requirements
  • Estimating RF hardware design tasks, identifying risks, and planning development
  • Conducting internal/external design reviews

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of direct relevant experience
  • Experience with a 3-D RF modeling/simulation tool such as CST Microwave Studio or HFSS
  • Theoretical background in electro-magnetic (EM) and RF/microwave theory
  • Ability to work independently, as well as direct and coordinate work of multi-disciplinary engineering teams to assure the successful development of RF systems and assemblies
  • Understand the critical performance characteristics of passive and active RF components such as Amplifiers, Oscillators, Attenuators, Mixers and Filters. An understanding of how these characteristics relate to a communication system's performance
  • A working understanding and knowledge of S-parameters (matching networks, cascade analysis, …), Gain budget analysis (Gain, NF, Linearity, Noise power, … ), and Filtering (types, bandwidth, implementations, … )
  • A strong understanding of noise figure/noise temperature (BER vs. noise, receiver sensitivity, and expected value and variance), temperature effects, interconnection (standard and non-standard impedances), and isolation requirements
  • Experience with defining RF architectures, creating link budgets and performing system-level gain/distortion analysis
  • Strong experience in PA and RF module design
  • Strong problem solving and lab debugging skills. Hands on experience in RF tuning and using RF instruments
  • Strong RF fundamentals such as impedance matching, distributed systems, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, bandwidth and stability
  • Experience on RF switch and/or RFIC/analog circuit design highly desirable
  • Good understanding of cellular RF front end systems and specs
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, plus familiar with MS Project software


  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot hardware and software technical problems
  • Knowledge of IoT device to cloud communication and cyber security
  • Knowledge of wireless encryption technologies
  • Understanding of wireless project requirements
  • Can quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts
  • Wide degree of creativity and latitude
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Understanding of RF performance requirements for cellular communication system
  • Experience with EM simulation tools
  • Experience with Mentor Graphic CAD and simulation tools
  • Experience with agency certification, FCC, CE, CCC, PTCRB and GCF
