Saint Louis University, a Catholic Jesuit institution dedicated to education, research, health care, and service is seeking applicants for a faculty position in the Department of Internal Medicine/Division of Nephrology beginning in July 2021. An M.D. degree and board certification/eligibility in nephrology are required. The faculty member will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in transplant nephrology, specifically in the care of immunosuppressed patients, including pre- and post-transplant kidney, pancreas-kidney, and liver-kidney patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The applicant will have demonstrated expertise in clinical, basic or translational transplant-related research, as reflected in publications and grant funding.  A national and/or international reputation in the field of transplantation is desirable, as reflected in invited presentations, presence at national meetings and professional service.  The faculty member will participate in community outreach efforts in transplant nephrology.  The faculty member will teach and supervise nephrology fellows, internal medicine residents, and medical students in transplant nephrology consultations and outpatient clinics.
