ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Must have knowledge of aerial, buried and underground high voltage distribution systems.
-Must have thorough understanding of primary parts of shielded, solid dielectric high voltage cable.
-Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans.
-Must be able to keep accurate records of information pertaining to job assignments and interact with site management to report all changes or alterations to original job duties.
-Must be able to identify appropriate clearances from other utilities on poles, structures, common trenches and underground duct systems.
-Responsible for safe operation of bucket trucks and other heavy equipment as may be introduced.
-Must have the ability to recognize and report potentially dangerous work sites.


EDUCATION

High School Diploma, Others

EXPERIENCE

- Completion of accredited electrician or lineman apprenticeship training program
-Desired but not required, Certification as a High Voltage Cable Splicer by the National Cable Splicer Certification Board (NCSCB)
