**Description:** Lockheed Martin is seeking a Systems Engineer to perform mission and performance analysis for a position in Grand Prairie, TX\.

The selected candidate will provide system engineering design and analysis support for an new missile Interceptor\. This engineer will apply the Systems Engineering process to analyze and understand our new product\.

Duties include:

• Performs early concept mission analyses for total air defense systems at all levels\.

• Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints\.

• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, and performance analysis for endo air defense interceptors and exo missile defense interceptors, long range radars, communications/battle management networks\.

• Prepare, coordinate approval, and maintain program analysis and trade study plans\.

• Coordinate with other company and customer elements to assure analysis products are consistent and meet stakeholder expectations\.

The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the “Mid\-Cities” region in the Dallas\-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas\. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth\. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate\. This North Central region of Texas is a great place to live and to raise a family\. The region is home to numerous colleges and universities to include University of Texas at Dallas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of North Texas, Southern Methodist University, and Texas Woman's University\. The Mid\-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty\-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth\. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB \(Hurst, Euless and Bedford\), NRH \(North Richland Hills and Richland Hills\), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth\.

**Basic Qualifications:**

• Must currently possess a secret clearance\.

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree\.

Experience with the following:

• IAMD system performance\.

• Missile flight performance; may include propulsion, staging, aero and active control systems, or seeker sensitivity\.

• Long range strike, including cruise missiles, ballistic missiles and aircraft\.

• Ship or land based air defense systems\.

• Running performance analyses in AFSIM with ability to learn internal missile flyout simulations\.

• First principles defense system knowledge allowing estimates of radar range, IR sensor range, atmospheric effects, or flight performance\.

• Leading a distributed team of five or more people working 5\-10 simultaneous projects\.

• Briefing internal and customer executive leadership\.

**Desired Skills:**

• Knowledge of government budgets, acquisition processes, and developmental and operational testing\.

Experience with the following:

• Project engineering/CAM\.

• Working with sub\-contractors, and teams\.

• Systems engineering processes, system architecture principles, and/or systems integration into development program life cycle activities\.

• Transitioning traditional Systems Engineering work products into a Model Based System Engineering \(MBSE\) Environment\.

• Conducting operational trade studies to help in system down\-select decisions\.

• Developing analysis tools and performing system level trade studies\.
