Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Principal Systems Engineer to join our team in Pocatello, ID.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide subject matter expertise during the review of potential technologies proposed for integration with the environment
  • Create API integration and automation scripts with the Python programming language
  • Understand agile software design and be able to create/consume stories within a sprint structure
  • Assist with the deployment and sustainment of a very large multi-tenant Anything as a Service (XaaS) offering with a focus on Transport as a Service (TaaS), Network as a Service (NaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
  • Design, build, and sustain a large multi-tenant network fabric
  • Assist with the troubleshooting and upgrading of hyper-converged, converged, and traditional server and storage infrastructure
  • Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation

Basic Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree. May consider additional years of related experience or certification in lieu of a degree
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of related experience
  • At least one certification for Cisco, Microsoft, or Linux
  • Strong experience creating API integration and automation scripts with at least one of the following scripting or programming languages: Python, Perl, YAML (Python is preferred).
  • Experience with Network Configuration Protocol (NETCONF), Java Script over the Network (JSON), REST-CONF, and YANG.
  • In depth hands-on experience with very large deployments of at least one of the following Software Defined Networking (SDN) controller architectures: Cisco ACI, APIC-EM / DNA Center, Arista CVP, Juniper Contrail.
  • Experience with orchestration platforms, including at least one of the following orchestration controllers: Cisco/Tail-f/NSO, Red Hat Ansible
  • Experience troubleshooting and upgrading hyper-converged, converged, and traditional server hardware (Nutanix and Dell preferred).
  • Strong experience with virtualization platforms, such as: like ESXi, Hyper-V, or KVM
  • Recent exposure and strong understanding of hybrid cloud, automation, and DevOps infrastructure strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Nutanix Prism Pro software and be able to assist with custom automation script development.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • An active Top-Secret clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
