While reporting to the Production Manager, you will provide leadership in safety, productivity, quality, cost performance and employee relations in a high-performance work team environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • You will ensure the safety of all employees by leading a comprehensive safety program to prevent injuries, comply with all safety and environmental regulations (SOHA, EPA. Etc.)
  • You will be knowledgeable of a lean, continuous improvement environment.
  • You will hire, train, direct and mentor 12+ employees on your shift.
  • You will be responsible for the EI (energy isolation) program and champion the EI safety team for your Shift.
  • You will develop subordinates through education, training and teamwork.
  • You will build and maintain productive employee relationships, driving employee satisfaction, while providing coaching or discipline as needed.
  • You will promote a culture in which production and maintenance work together to identify and resolve equipment issues which could negatively impact safety, quality or productivity.
  • Additional responsibilities may be added when appropriate

This position is located in our Protective Solutions Division in Nashville, TN. We are seeking a high potential candidate with the desire for a significant level of responsibility, who will have a major impact on the plant and opportunity to develop and grow in their career.

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • You have 5 + years of manufacturing experience and at least 3 years of experience managing a team, preferably in a lean environment.
  • You have a four-year degree in engineering preferred - equivalent experience with hands on knowledge of basic mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical can substitute
  • We expect you to have a passion for safety, continuous improvement and lean processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
