Eaton’s Electrical Sector (Crouse Hinds, B-Line and Oil & Gas business) is currently seeking an EHS Coordinator to join our team. This position is based at our Amarillo, TX location.

Position Overview:

This position requires ability to be responsible for the support of environmental, health and safety efforts at the site with an emphasis on the environmental programs. Individual is accountable for supporting EHS activities including maintaining EHS systems and processes such as:

+ Monitoring and measurement systems such as air, water and waste reporting

+ Communication of EHS metrics, collection and organization of EHS action items

+ Supporting EHS training initiatives

+ Leading and supporting EHS teams

+ Supporting incident investigations and site internal assessment activities.

In this function you will:

+ Work with EHS Manager and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for corporate EHS, country, state, and local regulations.

+ Assist with the implementation of MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety, Security and Health) and utilize MESH tools to drive improvements.

+ Support Site Level and Works Station Risk Assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects.

+ Support tracking of appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track EHS performance.

+ Support tracking and accomplishment of EHS goals for the site.

+ Provide support on using established EHS data processes such as MESH Prism to manage data.

+ Drive and promote zero incident EHS culture throughout site.

+ Create and facilitate EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year.

+ Review site environmental permits and ensure terms and conditions are understood and complied with, ensure required documentation is maintained and required regulatory reports are submitted to the respective agency, e.g., Annual Waste Summaries, Tier II, TRI, NESHAP ZZZZZ, Special Waste Authorizations, Semiannual Industrial Waste Reports, etc.

+ Coordinate the recycling efforts for the facility. Work with program owners on all site waste disposal activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

+ Direct the site’s environmental management systems in compliance with ISO 14001 requirements.

+ Create training matrices to ensure all governmentally required environmental training is provided and tracked to completion.

+ Serve as a role model for Eaton values and provide timely support to all employees.

+ Update and maintain EHS policies and procedures.

+ Prepare and distribute EHS related communications.

+ Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in environmental discipline, occupational safety, industrial hygiene or equivalent from an accredited institution

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience with responsibility over day-to-day operations of environmental systems.

+ Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

+ No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Amarillo, TX will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:

+ Advanced degree (Master’s level or beyond)

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience with responsibility of waste disposal at LQG Hazardous Waste facility.

+ Professional certification (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager.

+ Experience working with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001

+ Experience with reporting SWPP, SPCC, Tier II, TRI and Pollution Prevention.
