Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with the Project Director on planning and overall day-to-day operations/program development/contract management/human resources/staff development/business development
  • Develop and maintain a communications plan and keep all lines of business communities appraised of project plans and related implications
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, oversight and direction to the project in order to maximize contracted performance
  • Develop strategic plans/quality management
  • Implement project strategies that exceed Top Five contractual requirements including metrics, cost, and quality
  • Manage the project monitoring and evaluation system, including project indicators and outputs to develop and promote appropriate evaluation strategies for program activities
  • Lead, supervise, and hold accountable direct reports to meet contracted performance expectations
  • Coordinate employee training, mentoring, work assignments, performance assessment, development and succession
  • Ensure all staff are trained and assessed on funded programs, customer service, and LEGACY Principles
  • Maintain a library of knowledge and lessons learned from project activities, monitor reviews and audits
  • Ensure that all required reporting is submitted in a timely manner to the appropriate parties
  • Performs other duties as requested

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in management, organizational development project management, or business administration required
  • Five years of program level management level experience, related to human services in the for-profit, non-profit, quasi-governmental and/or government sectors or directly related progressively responsible work experience or equivalent combinations thereof
  • Extensive knowledge with workforce development programs
  • Lead other projects of comparable size and complexity, or experience in a comparable role with similar required skills

Additional Job Information

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least a year of successfully working with at-risk-young people or young adults in a crisis, during outreach efforts or in residential setting
  • Experience in the construction field, particularly residential construction or working knowledge of affordable housing and construction techniques used by our program partners, including but not limited to trimming, roofing, framing, drywalling, insulation, painting, and introductory electrical, plumbing, and flooring

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • An ability and willingness to design, implement, and lead the physical training components of the program in alignment with pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship physical fitness requirements preferred
  • BA in industrial arts, construction management, education, or a related field preferred not required
  • Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills
