Honeywell Building Technologies (HBT) is a leading global provider of products, software, solutions and technologies that enable building owners and occupants to ensure their facilities are safe, energy efficient, sustainable and productive. We are currently seeking a Senior Director, Human Resources to lead human resources for our global Honeywell Security business unit. This dynamic position will report to the Vice President of Human Resources for Fire, Security & HBT Repositioning.  This position will be based in Atlanta, GA.

About the Role:  This “hands on” position is responsible for leading human resources for this dynamic and transformative business approximately 1,000 employees.  You will be a change agent to drive a performance driven culture and set a high bar for the best talent in the industry. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to support metrics, track milestones, review projects and roll out Human Resources programs.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Partner with client managers to develop and execute both long-term and short-term HR strategies that directly support and enable business objectives.
  • Lead human resources functions through COE’s including recruitment, compensation, performance management, development and leveraging best practices and shared services across the global business platform.

·        Assess organizational needs of operating, business and functional units. Drive alignment within the business units to provide role and functional group clarity among roles.

·        Work collaboratively on the design, development and implementation of programs, policies and strategies to meet business needs and program goals.

·        Act as an organizational coach, who builds organizational capabilities, reduces complexity and partners with clients to maximize team performance.

·        Collaborate with client managers to design and implement the most effective organizational structures.

·        Provide timely, effective and direct coaching to client group managers, assisting in the development of world class, contemporary leadership skills.

·        Provide strategic coaching to key employees as related to succession planning, career path development, and performance management

·        Lead talent assessment for the client groups that are under the scope of the role including identifying key employee strengths and development needs in order to select, retain and develop key talent.

·        Lead succession planning & talent development strategies for the client group, identifying critical roles & preparing potential talent and pipelines for mentoring, training, etc.

·        Lead client group through critical HR operating rhythms such as annual talent reviews, salary planning and performance management.

·        Develop and drive strategies to attract, develop, engage and retain strong and diverse talent.

·        Work with leaders and employees to create a positive and engaging work environment.

·        Annually drive employer of choice initiatives based on feedback from the Employee Satisfaction Survey.

·        Foster and drive a performance driven culture.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Human Resources related field with advanced academic and professional training preferred or equivalent experience.
  • At least ten (10) years of progressive HR experience.
  • At least two (2) years of global HR experience.
