ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Dispatch units to each of the drive away companies in a timely manner

• Deal with customers, carriers and dealerships on a daily basis with issues regarding their unit and/or chassis

• Put dispatch dates in the system on a daily basis

• Input Chassis Check-in data and dispatch & delivery dates in the system on a daily basis

• Help out in other areas of the Traffic Department as needed

• Help Sales and Production with any issues/questions they may have

• Auditing drive away company’s performance to ensure timely deliveries

• Ensure Drive away company’s are adhering to Morgan contract and guidelines

• Forecast drive away demand to drive away companies

• Process drive away invoices on a weekly basis

• Do key Traffic audits weekly

• Will be working with spreadsheets and AS400 system on a daily basis

• Help out in other areas as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent Communication, Organizational and Customer service skills

• Computer skills necessary, AS400,Excel and Chart creation experience preferred

• Self-starter, little supervision needed

• Must have a clean valid driver’s license.

• Must be able to work overtime, including Saturdays, if required.

• Must have the flexibility to work rotating shifts if necessary.

• Must be able to work in a group or team setting or individual projects

• Must actively participate and support Poindexter Production System (PPS); 5’s, Lean, TPM, Continuous Improvement Activities, Kaizen, etc.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear. The team member frequently is required to stand (sometimes for extended periods); walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 35 pounds. The team member may, at times, sit, bend, stoop, squat, reach overhead, or crawl (may be in confined spaces). The Painter is expected to perform repetitive tasks with the team member’s hands, and have the ability to climb ladders and/or work in high places.
