Position Summary

Provide Electrical Engineering Design, Testing, Failure Analysis, Technical Writing (including test procedures and reports). Must have an Electrical Engineering degree.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Performs feasibility and trade studies applying standard analytical methods; recommends solutions which are defined and reviewed for implementation.
  • Provides technical information for review with product engineering teams using established engineering practices, standards, and documentation methods (e.g. structured design process; customer design reviews).
  • Writes supporting documentation for procedures and technical reports; may assist in writing technical proposals for customers.
  • Perform Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations/Failure Analyses
  • Develop Test Procedures (including Development, Risk Mitigation, Reliability Enhanced Testing, Acceptance and Qualification) based on customer requirements
  • Perform 28 VDC analog circuit board design and troubleshooting

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Bachelor degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience working in an Aerospace environment preferred.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 2 - 3 years of related experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Intermediate skill level with MS Office (Excel and Word)
  • Thorough knowledge of product area and domain and develops breadth of knowledge of industry practices, techniques, regulations, and policies.
  • Proficient with engineering design and analysis tools (e.g. computer‐aided design or modeling systems); ability to use standard software packages. May require capability using specialized software applications or languages.
  • Familiarity or interest in electrical interfaces (switches, connectors, motors, etc.)
  • Capable of 28 VDC analog circuit board design and troubleshooting
  • Background with electromechanical hardware and DC motors
  • Familiarity with Electronics Simulation (OrCAD, PSpice/LTSpice)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide solutions
  • Working knowledge of LabVIEW software and National Instruments hardware
