Position Summary:

This role is highly technical and requires a mastery of multiple maintenance disciplines with ability to isolate issues and solve problems to the root cause. This role will provide technical assistance to the operations and maintenance teams with a focus on assisting with the most problematic and difficult issues. Work closely with the engineering team to identify opportunities for improvement and equipment upgrades.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical maintenance support to both the production and maintenance teams.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repair of production equipment and line issues.
  • Identify opportunities and develop implementationplans for projects which improve assemblywork flow and update/improve manufacturing floor processes.
  • Work together to find improvements in both the conversion and maintenance areas to increase operating reliability.
  • Participate in special projects.
  • Solve chronic issues to Root Cause to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations to develop Lean Maintenance strategies to improve efficiency of maintenance tasks.
  • Perform and/or direct both scheduled and emergency maintenance for production machinery to ensure all safety and quality requirements are met.
  • Document and communicate maintenance activities through the use of "Smart Sheet" maintenance system and SAP work orders.
  • Recommend and/or conduct technical training as necessary to promote the growth and success of production associates.
  • Assist in the development of training and reference materials, visual aids, work instructions and job aids for specific training needs.
  • Adhere to strict GMP, Quality and Safety standards.
  • Function within the ISO Standards and maintain a team environment.
  • Must complete and maintain certification in First Aid/CPR/AED.
  • Responsible for reporting food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion.

Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years in troubleshooting and repairs of automated production equipment, Blow molding, Injection molding, material handling systems.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Electrical, PLC, Servo drives, Mechanical knowledge
  • Hydraulic systems and Components, Servo Valves, Pumps, Accumulators, Motors
  • The ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.
  • Highly motivated , ability to persevere when faced difficult obstacles, Outside the Box thinking
  • Good understanding of Maintenance Strategies and Systems
  • Understanding of Lean principals and strategies
  • Computer skills SAP , and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to function with minimal supervision
  • Able to work 40 - 60 hours per week.
  • On call as scheduled for 24 hours for emergency response.
  • Ability to bend, reach and move around facility.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work on aerial platforms up to 20 ft.
