Position Summary:

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team of developers building our next generation Consumer Financials solutions. Your job will be to enable the creation of easy to use, powerful, cloud-based tools which allow medical professionals to focus on what they do best - treat patients. You participate fully in the SDLC process and apply agile methods to enable the development of core web applications and contribute to object-oriented design for the Consumer Financials software products. You monitor the progress of performance and apply new concepts and/or principles to address any problems as needed.

The Team:Our consumer-focused Consumer Financials application team aims to bring a marketplace experience to healthcare, allowing patients to feel empowered in their healthcare decisions.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Technical Execution [Primary Responsibility]:
  • Create, support, and improve CI/CD processes
  • Identify, triage, and resolve issues in application environments and Cloud architecture
  • Support development teams by improving build and infrastructure processes
  • Potentially write, debug, and deploy code to production; deliver timely fixes
  • Participate in team member interview process as needed
  • Produce accurate, clear technical design specs as required
  • Perform peer code reviews in order to ensure quality standards

Contributions to the Team:
  • Learn the domain for area of assignment
  • Participate on scrum teams following practices outlined by team
  • Contribute to agile ceremonies to improve team performance
  • Volunteer for work in the backlog and commit to quality delivery
  • Help drive the team's self-organization; help determine how the team funtions in collaboration with your peers

Cross-functional Team Coordination and Communication:
  • Work collaboratively across teams to ensure alignment towards business goals
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional team members of varying experience levels

Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • Proficiency with Cloud Solutions, preferably AWS
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience in back-end web application development (preferably Java/Spring Boot) preferred
  • Experience with Cloud Networking (VPNs, Peering, etc.) & InfoSec concepts
  • Hands on experience working with CI/CD systems, preferably Jenkins
  • Experience with Unix-like operating systems
  • Proficiency with Atlassian tools (Jira, BitBucket, Confluence, etc) is a plus
  • Experience in front-end web application development (React, GraphQL) is a plus
  • Experience in development with Perl is a plus
  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum/Kanban environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and experience
