Raytheon Technologies has an opening for a Digital Contracts Manager - Software Sourcing (Manager III Supply Chain Business Ops). Responsible for managing all aspects of the digital/IT software sourcing and procurement functions in Enterprise Services (ES) through collaborating and partnering with suppliers, ES leaders, and digital/IT work stream leaders. A key component of the role is to develop supplier capability, partnerships and category strategies for applications, software license/asset management, and application maintenance services.

The ideal candidate will draw from past experience in digital sourcing, digital procurement, subcontract management, category management, contract negotiations and project management skills to lead the coordination, communication and integration of suppliers to support the achievement of technical, financial and performance objectives. This candidate must have the business acumen to connect technical requirements and concerns to contract performance, and should be able to proactively identify and resolve problems efficiently and effectively. This candidate will have a deep understanding of digital application contracts with the ability to define MTAs, establish tiered pricing tables and structure rebates, negotiate contracts, manage licensing and software assets, support audits, and the ability to adjust between different contract types, e.g. LOE to fix price contracts.

The Digital Contracts Manager is also responsible for understanding technical requirements (e.g., specifications), tasking (e.g. SOW), and terms & conditions applicable to the agreements. A deep understanding of the end-to-end procurement process, from contract negotiations, to requisition and PO placement is needed for this role. The Digital Contracts Manager continuously monitors and evaluates supplier metrics for trends and root causes and formulates proactive plans to ensure overall success of the category. Given the amount of contracts, the Contracts Manager must be able to effectively employ project management skills to develop and manage an integrated master schedule.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to develop effective presentations and present to leadership and peers.

Job Description:

Specific responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Supports Enterprise Software Partnership Service leader and DIT Stakeholders in application portfolio management, apps rationalization and other application related synergy activities

  • Manages a portfolio of digital application suppliers

  • Supports and leads negotiations

  • Establishes supplier engagement plans and enforce overall governance within portfolio

  • Develops and manages an integrated master schedule of engagements, renewals, RFQs, etc.

  • Supports the coordination of all supplier performance reviews, benchmarks & reporting

  • Support software licensing and asset management to ensure compliance to contract

  • Work with peers in application services in support of work related to applications and managed services

    Required Skills:

  • Minimum 10+ years Sourcing and Procurement Management, Subcontract Management, Category Management experience; especially DIT

  • Experience with sourcing roles and functions, including creating sourcing roadmaps, developing category strategies, software licensing and asset management, risk management, action item management and requirements change management

  • Strong negotiations and digital sourcing skills with a proven ability to review, negotiate and manage MTAs, amendments, renewals, different contract types (FFP, LOE, etc.) and occasional Statement of Work (SOW) related activities

  • Ability to effectively communicate, execute and manage contracts and vendors to meet technical, cost, and schedule goals

  • Strong collaboration skills enabling effective communication and demonstrated business results working internally with functional service owners in Enterprise Services, Operations and Supply Chain, and business units, as well as externally with suppliers

  • Demonstrated ability to understand financial information, budgets and program performance and develop strategies to improve performance in these areas

  • Strong knowledge of digital applications and the suppliers in that space

    This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

    Desired Skills:

  • Project management skills with the ability to develop and manage an integrated master schedule of many vendor engagements and activities

  • Experience in finance and developing financial models

  • Ability to develop effective presentations and documents used for leadership reviews

  • Professional or advanced degree

    Education Requirement:
