The IT Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating resources and processes to deliver technology solutions for desired business outcomes.  This Manager manages a team of Software Engineers, Analysts and Administrators to deliver solutions for billing, credit, AR, API integration, and Sales and Marketing automation platforms.  The Manager will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their objectives and meet those objectives with the appropriate enhancements to existing technology solutions or development of new technology solutions and services.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and project leadership to the software technology team.  Ensure the team has appropriate direction, specifications, and resources to deliver the desired business outcomes.
  • Manage the relationship with Business Stakeholders to understand their goals and objectives.
  • Create and maintain project schedules with appropriate prioritization and dependencies for the team members.
  • Coordinate software release planning, ensuring the appropriate SOX audit controls are met.
  • Manage the software deployment through environment tiers.
  • Assist the software technology team with technical problem resolution.
  • Ensure the technology solutions are delivered in accordance with the TA Technology Strategic Plan and Guiding Principles.
  • Task team members with work assignments and monitor progress against defined deliverables.
  • Recruit, coach, motivate, and lead the technology team members.
  • Work closely with other Technology departments to coordinate and engage necessary resources and processes including Infrastructure, Center of Excellence, and other Application teams as appropriate.
  • Develop and own the solution roadmap for application areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure solutions remain consistent with current technology and industry trends.
  • Supports and demonstrates by example, TA’s Mission, Vision and Values.







  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of management/leadership experience for a software technology team.
  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Technical knowledge of .NET application development is a Plus
  • Technical knowledge of real-time transaction processing applications is a Plus
  • Business and technical understanding of billing and credit applications is a Plus
  • Experience with Salesforce implementations for Sales and Marketing process automation is a Plus
  • Experience with Mulesoft implementations for driving Digital Transformation with an API-led strategy is a Plus
  • Knowledge and experience in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated team leadership ability, including time management, task prioritization and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment; prior work experience in a Digital Transformation environment is a Plus
  • Understanding of project management concepts including resource allocation and estimation.
  • Record of successful delivery of software applications as an individual, team lead or manager.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

In this role, the employee is continuously sitting and typing, frequently talking and using eye and hand coordination and may also be required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move objects.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Standing, walking, bending over, and repetitive use of legs are done occasionally.  All performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.    


Schedule is typical workday but requires 24x7x365 on-call support, and occasional evening/weekend work.
