Requisition Number: S_210010 Department: University Television-0912 Description of Work: Provide supervision, editing, training and coaching for news reporters and producers. Develop trans media news content for radio, television web and mobile.The ideal candidate will be a skilled digital story teller who can produce compelling content and help others to do the same. Three (3) years full-time content creation experience in public broadcasting or a media-related industry. Experience must demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills; live on-air radio hosting; supervisory experience. Audio production techniques and procedures; general technical aspects of radio broadcasting systems; research techniques; Federal Communications Commission guidelines as they relate to public radio programming. Current issues and concerns of interest to the citizens of Nebraska; resources available for researching Nebraska informational needs; national vehicles available for distributing Nebraska produced news content; principles and practices of supervision; Nebraska Public Radio Network NET Radio guidelines and procedures for programming and news. Utilize effective interviewing techniques to gather desired information; write clear and succinct scripts for radio, online, and television audiences; record and edit audio; take digital pictures; work effectively with videographers to produce visual stories; recruit and train announcers and interns; edit and mentor news reporters and producers. Utilize available audio production systems and techniques for quality sound reproduction; operate radio studio equipment/on-air board and associated equipment; contribute to effective strategy for on-air membership drives; evaluate current program and news content production and revise as necessary to meet Nebraska citizen needs. Preferred Qualifications: Ideal candidate will have a master's degree. Five (5) years with supervisory experience and skills. Producing content for multiple content platforms.
