We are seeking a Staff Accountant for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Job Summary:

 

  • You will process all invoices for payment of vendor, employee, and consultant fees using Lawson.
  • You will reconcile monthly billing statement to invoices, and communicate any discrepancies to vendor.
  • You will handle vendor questions and concerns.
  • You will act as a resource for peers and department management on AP related issues.
  • You will take ownership and initiative to assure accuracy in all AP transactions.
  • You will present a professional business demeanor.
  • You will code and replenish petty cash.
  • You will prepare sales and use tax return and enter into TN online portal by due date.
  • You will prepare and enter Journal Entries as assigned.

 

Pinewood Springs is a 60 bed, 49,900 square foot Hospital serving both Adult and Adolescent patients.  A part of Maury Regional Health, Pinewood Springs is located in Columbia, TN, between Nashville and Huntsville. Pinewood Springs will serve a region consisting of more than a quarter-million people in Southern Middle Tennessee.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required
  • Two years’ experience in an accounting field is preferred
  • Must possess knowledge of AP and GL functions
  • Must have experience in Microsoft Office programs, with an Intermediate or Advanced knowledge level of Excel
  • Must possess strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels within the Organization
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred
