Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Configuration Manager or Principal Configuration Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Washington, DC. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's US Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Administration, Information Technology Services Division of the Executive Office (A/EX/ITS's) team. This is a contract to provide the US Department of State with highly-skilled and qualified personnel to provide high quality, "state of the art" application development activities to be performed in support of A/EX/ITS systems and applications, leveraging an integrated and scalable framework to meet ITS's vision and requirements, leveraging Agile/SCRUM or a hybrid development methodology supported by a DevOps framework.
Roles and Responsibilities may include:
- Prepares deviations and waivers for government approval when specifications cannot be met
- Responsible for product design changes and the effects of the overall system.
- Assists in documenting and tracking all aspects of hardware and/or software development and modifications.
- Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations.
- Reviews all issued document change requests, document change notices and associated drawings for accuracy, completeness and proper signatures
- Maintain up-to-date device and configuration management documentation.
- May structure and maintain databases
- Submits engineering changes to customers for review and approval; maintains records and submit reports regarding status
- Prepares configuration verification audit record sheets for all programs
- May be responsible for providing Software Configuration Management (SCM) support at the enterprise and/or project level throughout a software product's life cycle.
- Manage and test software within the ITS test environment (ANET) and ensure that ANET mimics the production environment as closely as possible.

Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either a Level 2 or Principal level.
- Basic Qualifications for a Configuration Manager are a Bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience
- Basic Qualifications for a Principal Configuration Manager are a Bachelor's degree and seven years of professional experience.
- Must have recent experience providing Configuration Management services similar in complexity and compliance with industry best practices.
- Must be a US Citizen and have an Active Secret Clearance
- Top Secret security clearance
- Demonstrate skill and ability to perform moderatel complex professional tasks
- Experience in providing operational and technical support and assessments
- Excellent presentation and communication skills in both oral and written form
- Demonstrate ability to effectively coordinate and collaborate with clients
- Attention to detail and maintaining proactive communication
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
