Data Management and Insights (DMI) is transforming the way that Wells Fargo uses and manages data. Our work enables Wells Fargo to empower and inform our employees, deliver exceptional experiences for our customers, and meet the elevated expectations of our regulators. The team is responsible for designing the future data environment, defining data governance and oversight, and partnering with technology to operate the data infrastructure for the company. This team also provides next generation analytic insights to drive business strategies and help meet our commitment to satisfy our customers' financial needs.
The team member will perform the role of Risk Data Consultant / Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the DMI Risk Business Data Leader (BDL) team. The team member will analyze data and systems in a specific banking subject area, work closely with line of business partners to define data road maps and data solutions in accordance with the Enterprise Data Strategy. The analysts will also partner with peer teams in DMI to define metadata needs/requirements, perform data mapping as applicable, and support the development of data quality rules for projects related to Corporate Risk initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze data and act as a subject matter expert (SME) for the data and systems that support business units within Corporate Risk
- Document requirements in collaboration with the Line of Business (LOB) and Wells Fargo Technology (WFT) to ensure project-level business and data requirements are captured accurately and completely.
- Perform data profiling to understand data in systems of record (SORs) and map data elements accurately to tactical and target state solutions.
- Act as a catalyst and educator to socialize DMI capabilities, solutions, and data assets.
- Work with the Line of Business and WFT to analyze how legacy data applications that support their business will map into the new enterprise data strategy.

- Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs
- Experience defining, documenting, and implementing data requirements, processes, and policies
- Experience with data management best practices and disciplines including data governance, data quality, analytics, BI, or data architecture
- Experience with all aspects of the software development life cycle including various documentation techniques, participating in testing activities, and developing metadata
- Subject matter expertise in Operational Risk, Credit Risk, Strategic Enterprise Risk, Compliance and/or other risk domains across Wells Fargo
- Clear understanding of DMI's charter, the Enterprise Data Environment, and the Enterprise Data Strategy
