Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.

The Wholesale Loan Operations credit spreading and covenant monitoring work is key to ensuring Wells Fargo is fully assessing risk and maintaining data integrity across Wholesale Banking. Without sound procedures both for production process and quality control, significant losses can be incurred and the customer experience will be impacted.

The Marketing team plays an integral role in supporting the strategic goals and priorities of the Commercial Banking business, which exceeds 12 billion dollars in annual revenues. The mission of the Marketing team is to drive acquisition, growth, and retention of business customers which span small, mid-sized and large companies. In support of this mission, Marketing facilitates customer conversations and interactions through thought leadership and customer engagement programs, arms the Sales teams with account-based tools, and fosters business growth through targeted marketing campaigns.

The Marketing Consultant 2 is a key contributor in the Marketing team. Reporting directly to the Commercial Banking Marketing leader, this role is responsible for developing and executing a variety of marketing programs across all 3 lines of business – Commercial Capital, Middle Market, and Treasury Management. The ideal candidate will have exceptional project management skills, be comfortable in a constantly changing environment, and enjoy collaborating with business partners to achieve results.

Responsibilities include:

  • Execute digital marketing programs and campaigns including email, print, and social media
  • Provide marketing support in direct response to business requests around advertising and promotions, brand standards, events, sponsorships, and sales campaigns 
  • Develop, update, and revise marketing and sales materials and product collateral
  • Work with a variety of partners to overcome barriers to successful implementation and execution of marketing projects
  • Assemble & review data in support of program initiatives to provide reports and recommendations to management
  • Ensure adherence to Legal, Compliance, and Privacy regulations and policies related to marketing activities
  • May interact directly with business leaders on marketing plans or outside vendors on campaign deliverables
  • May write and/or edit thought leadership content and customer communications for the web or social media

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.



Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of marketing experience demonstrated through work or military experience

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills

  • Marketing, sales or product experience in financial services
  • Business to business (B2B) marketing experience
  • Creative agency or digital marketing experience highly desirable
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem solving techniques
  • Knowledge of marketing technology platforms such as Aprimo, Knotch, Seismic, Wordpress, and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud 
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills
