Quality Assurance / Regulatory Supervisor – Anaheim, CA

The QA/Regulatory Supervisor is responsible for the day-today activities relating to product associated regulatory requests from internal and external customers. Works closely with R&D, Quality and other internal functional areas to ensure timely Regulatory and Quality compliance, and to support business objectives as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and goals
  • Organize workflow and ensure that direct reports understand their duties or delegated tasks
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Assist Director of Quality in planning, coordinating, directing and supervising the activities of the Regulatory section of the Quality Department.
  • Participates in revising and approving quality and process control procedures
  • Creates and updates labeling documentation and product information
  • Assist in reviewing consumer label proofs for compliance
  • Assists in customer and regulatory audits
  • Oversee SOP program
  • Ensures files in document control room are maintained
  • Initiates change control when required
  • Responsible for the supervision of direct reports
  • Plans and sets goals and objectives for direct reports
  • Schedules and coordinates work assignments of direct reports.
  • Conducts and documents job performance appraisal
  • Participates in developing, interpreting, and implementing policies and procedures for the area of responsibility
  • Initiates disciplinary actions when required
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Management


  • Degree in the biological or food/pharmaceutical or regulatory sciences preferred.
  • 2-5 years of relevant regulated industry experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of 21 CFR Parts 101, 110, 111, DSHEA, NLEA
  • High attention to detail; ability to organize and prioritize assigned projects
  • Research and locate information on regulatory requirements and products
  • Experience in preparing and responding to regulatory agencies and client audits
  • Proficient in written, oral, and interpersonal communications in English
  • Ability to adapt in a fast pace work environment and be able to deal with multiple critical tasks/issues
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Ability to form, participate in and lead teams to accomplish goals and objectives
  • Strong proficiency in using MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook
  • Flexibility to changing priorities, work schedule, and the needs of the business
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Must be results-driven and focused
  • Ability to develop general knowledge of technical alternatives and gain an understanding of their impact on associated products, systems and the business
