We are looking for a Systems & Performance Engineer to achieve high level of performance for our mission critical MES applications used by leading chip makers around the world. You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency to deliver highest levels of availability, performance and scalability for our Software products used by leading chip manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities

System & Performance qualification of the assigned Enterprise Software Products supported on multiple OS (Windows/Unix/RHEL/Solaris) and Oracle DB platform.
Product Architecture changes by adopting latest infrastructure (OS/DB/3rd Party) features to ensure Applied Software Product support latest technology stack.
Stress Testing of software products to ensure high volume scalability & high availability for mission critical applications.

Troubleshoots a variety of difficult software problems.  
Pre-Sales and deployment of mission critical application product.
Lead System Engineering efforts in improving product capabilities by leveraging hardware/OS/DB/Application capabilities to achieve highest scalability, HA and System performance.
Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks

Interfaces with internal customers for requirements analysis and schedule.

Interfaces with external customers regarding software issues.

Interfaces with external customers regarding software issues.

Compiles data for regularly scheduled or special reports, analysis and statements.

Liaise with vendors (Microsoft, Oracle etc.) and stakeholders (Engineering/TPS/Customers) personnel for problem resolution

Functional Knowledge

BE/M-Tech degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux/Solaris/Windows based environments.
Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application on infrastructure stack (e.g. Solaris/RHEL/Windows/HP-UX/Oracle/Tibco)
Advanced experience with Database technologies (preferably Oracle and DB performance tuning ( tools like AWR/ASH analysis etc).
Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box)
Experience with monitoring systems Zabbix & Log Analytics tools like Splunk is preferred
Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python)
Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
Experience with any automation software ( eg Jmeter).
