This position is for a sales engineering professional who will provide technical expertise and support for Collins Commercial Ground Vehicle sales team___s Eastern North America region. This individual will be responsible for CGV customers___ new project and support activities. In addition this role will assist the sales team with supporting and growing our market specifically in the eastern US.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Engage with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements based on understanding the customer___s needs.

• Work closely with installers throughout design and initial vehicle production to ensure proper system installation.

• Perform vehicle hazard analysis and system reviews/certifications.

• Generate system manuals, field reports, and procedures.__

• Provides support for activities related to sales engineering and sales applications.

• Provide technical support for sales team and help customers understand why our products are the best solution for their needs.

• Support the development of bidding documents such as system quotes.

• Coordinate and manage projects between end customers, vehicle manufacturers, and internal resources.

• Conduct pre-sale and post-sale support activities.

Qualifications:

• Strong writing and communication skills a must.

• Ability to manage projects and tasks independently a must.

• Ability to work independently a must.

• 50% to 60% travel ___ some international

Preferred Qualifications:

• Vehicle experience a plus

• Fire system experience a plus

• A year or more of customer/field support experience a plus

• Experience using SAP a plus

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor___s degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR

In absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required

US Citizenship or Permanent Residence is required.
