Description/Brief Summary of what role entails (Job Purpose):

He/She is responsible to solve logistics / inventory / Manufacturing Yield and supply chain challenges through data analysis, innovation and process optimization. Works as an individual contributor, Act as a mentor to other team members in supply chain functional areas.

This role requires experience in solving supply chain problems and business processes using analytics. Works closely with cross functional supply chain leads across businesses in translating functional problems into analytics solution.

Person is encouraged to closely work with Cross SBG members as well with Enterprise IT team to align practices and priorities to support the transition of analytics to FORGE – Big Data platform.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Accountable for working with global supply chain partners in driving supply chain transformation using Meaningful Analytics.
  • Drive performance monitoring, KPI(Key Performance Indicator) management across Supply-Chain and enable data driven Supply-Chain strategies.
  • Connect with global partners and find opportunities to drive business value via analytics solutions and Translate business requirement / problem statement into analytical solutions.
  • Drive supply chain efficiencies and enable change management to drive costs down.
  • Continually assess alternative analytics-based proposals/models that deliver value and make recommendations across various leadership levels and Drive process improvements across supply chain functions.
  • Build, Attract, coach and mentor Specialists / Analysts, leading by example through acting as an IC (Individual Contributor).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science / Engineering / Technology
  • MBA or other relevant advanced degrees in Supply-Chain / Logistics is preferred
  • Supply chain certifications: CPIM /CSCP/ CPSM / CTL

Experience:

  • 6+ Years in Supply-Chain spanning areas of planning, procurement, inventory management, fulfillment, logistics, or other related fields
  • 3+ years in business analytics to optimize the value chain
  • 2+ years of proven work experience in enabling supply chain strategies, familiarity with make-to-stock / make-to-order fulfillment strategies.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP / BO4 / Tableau

Nature of Experience (Area/Function/Environment/Domain/Product):

Domain areas of expertise in one or more of the following:

  • Planning : Forecasting, demand planning, supply planning, integrated business planning, S&OP
  • Sourcing & Procurement : Supplier B2B, Category planning, eProcurement, supplier catalogs
  • Supply chain network strategy : Manufacturing & distribution network / route optimization, transportation planning & scheduling

Crucial skills:

  • Understand ambiguous issues / scenarios - able to distil learning and simplify
  • Good understanding of supply chain processes and their interdependencies
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to query, analyses, explain and draw logical conclusions from operational & financial data and present findings in a simple manner
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret financial data
  • Innovative, creative, and proactive
  • Strong influencing skills, including proven ability to influence and get results at all levels of the organization
