Kelly Services is currently seeking an experienced Logistics Services Representative to join a leading team in the Midland, MI area!


The purpose of this job is to support company business objectives by:

  • Assuring the delivery of material to our customer’s requested destination safely, on-time, undamaged, and with the right paperwork. 
  • Resolving logistics issues quickly with the appropriate action taken.
  • Monitoring logistics costs for accuracy.
  • Driving improvements through identification of work process improvements, root cause investigations, and reporting / data analysis.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Monitor timely shipments and administer logistics transactional movements.
  • Manage logistics changes and exceptions requiring special arrangements.
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve issues, including QN tracking and management.
  • Effectively communicate across internal and external partners, including in emergency situations.
  • Review and approve invoices, claims, and accessorial charges.
  • Manage process exceptions by mode, site, customer, country, business, etc.
  • Coordinate cleaning and maintenance if required.
  • Coaching peers, as needed and requested by leader (this will be required by more experienced LSRs) 
  • Participate in very small projects, including generating reports for analysis as needed.             
  • Assure logistics activities are performed safely and in an environmentally conscious way.      
  • Facilitate logistics service provider relationships and provide input on performance. 



  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business, logistics, supply chain, finance, or technology related field is preferred.  However, individuals with other qualifications will be considered (e.g., other relevant education).
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in a relevant service role (e.g. Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Customer Service, Finance, or Supply Chain disciplines)
  • Work experience in the chemical, safety or transport industry is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities.
  • Effective problem solving.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow through to resolution.
  • Ability to meet business service standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Understanding Supply Chain work processes.
  • Ability to create detailed job procedures.
  • Ability to learn new technologies.
